Race Starting Attribute Bug

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 7:05 pm

This is truely another odd bug.

I wanted to change the starting attributes (HMS) of the 10 races to make them a bit more unique - long story short, the values you change in the race form don't affect that race, but the one before it in the list.

Argonian
Breton
Dark Elf
High elf
Imperial
Khajiit
Nord
Orc
Redguard
Wood Elf

This means, when I change the HMS values in the Khajiit race form, I get those starting attributes as an Imperial, and so on. Skill bonus changes work fine, though.
I'll do some more testing, but I thought I'd let people know.

/edit: Okay, it's weirder than I thought. When I made an Argonian, I had the bonus of a Nord. When I made a Nord and a Dunmer after that, they both had Nord bonus, too. Somehow the first bonus seems to stick around. I can't figure this out yet ...

/edit2:
Argonian > Nord
Bosmer > Argonian
Dunmer > Imperial
Imperial > Khajiit
Khajiit > Nord
Nord > Nord
Orc > Redguard

Sometimes, it seems the attributes just stay with the Nord values and don't change to the actual race. Maybe. I'm not sure.
In other words, starting attributes are totally screwed. Don't touch them.
