Lighting errors! Why? (with screenshots)

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 1:53 am

Hello Modders!

I have a strange lighting problem and cant pinpoint why. I checked the cells, the moduls, deleted all fx etc. Still, I got a very bad looking on/off of lighting.

Screenshots attached for illustration.

Looking forward to getting some feedback!

Cheers

Seems like you have too many lights. You can only have 4 shadow lights (visible in the CK as coloured bulbs) visible at one time. Any more will cause flickers and graphical bugs. Try to replace shadow lights with omni-directional lights without shadows (usually with the NS suffix).

Thanks a lot for the quick answer. I already tried to limit my lightsources in this area, but due to fireplaces/lantern it would just look extremely unnatural. I think I'll have to rearrange some interior...

Cheers
