Difficulty rendering special effects

Basically I'm taking the flame glowy bits of dawnbreaker and putting it on the front gem of a circlet. Problem is, the circlet and flames render perfectly both in the CK and in the inventory preview of the item, but the flames do not in the actual environment or when equipped.

I was hoping someone could help me address this. If you want to look at my meshes, they're up on here under Circlet of Light. (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11805#content) Everything seems all right to me, but it just won't render those pesky special effects!
CircletLightAA is the Model, and CircletLightWorld is the World Model. Thanks a bunch!

BTW I made these by copy paste in NifSkope, no blender involved.

EDIT: To see if perhaps this wasn't working because the node came from a weapon, I made a version of Dawnbreaker with all the NiTriShapes shrunk down and the NiNode for the glowy parts scaled up. Basically I did this for the fistperson and the normal mesh. For whatever reason the thing still won't render in game, but when i pick it up and equip it i have a gigantic ball of light in hand.
Can anyone help shed light on this?
