Ok, so the dragons never go away?!?!

Seriously? I finally decided to do the main quest, and one main motivation for not waiting longer was to get rid of those overgrown cliff racers. Alas, they are still here. If anything, I have been attacked more since defeating Alduin in underwhelming combat.

Nothing you do in this game makes any difference in the world at all. Yes, this is a complaint.

What a novel opinion. I encourage you to seek out the other 200 threads on this topic (this week).

What a novel response. I encourage you to realize that some people have other things to do besides browse forums all day waiting to get a [censored]y remark in because they have no balls in real life conversations.

Personal attacks generally don't facilitate useful discussion.

You admitted your post is essentially a rant (a quite popular one), so I'm not sure what you expected. The continued existence of hostile dragons is supported and explained by in-game events.

The point of the main quest is to stop Alduin from destroying the world not to make dragons extinct again.

If you have the PC version, you can stop them by opening the console and typing "set mq106turnoffrandomdragons to 1" (without quotes of course). I had to do this eventually on the character I finished the main quest with, because they got to be such an annoyance, popping up every time I turned around.

Although this is the purpose of the Blades or so it seems in Skyrim.

I like them.

Your point is invalid.

Nope, their sole purpose is to kill off your town populations, one by one... if you weren't being careful.
Because wild animals, glitches and other hostilities weren't enough!

You must have missed Paarthurnax's dialogue saying that he is going to try to get the other dova to stop attacking, but that some won't listen to him. Odahviing sounds skeptical that he'll be able to convince many of them.

Aha! The plot thickens.
Did Paarthunax REALLY try to get them to stop? Hmm.
And you can't trust Odahviing, either. He only sided with you after Alduin took a dirt nap.

Just throwing ideas around.
