Starting a scene.

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 7:00 pm

So I'm trying to start a scene every day at a certain time. It's a mundane thing, 2 characters just chit chatting. What I am confused about is how I can actually start the scene. So far I made the scene with the dialogue and made packages inside the scene for them to meet up at 3pm but I am confused about how to actually tell the game to run the scene every day at 3pm...

I had troubles actually starting scenes. In the end I made a new quest with the scene (with start scene on quest start flag checked). When I wanted the scene to start, I started the quest. I could also only use one scene per quest.

That wouldn't work for me as I want my scene to play every day at 3pm.

I think you can make an event to start the quest and end it everyday at 3pm. It won't show up to the player as "Quest Started XXXX" every time, only if you set objectives.

Hmmm...how do you think I would go about "Creating an event" to start the quest that starts the scene?

It's not an event but this may come in handy

I'm fairly positive that you can make a control quest that is start game enabled (or started when you want the scenes to start) and you can use this register for update game time block to start the quest (and the scene). When the scene ends it can end the quest. I don't think there will be any problems with starting and stopping the quest repeatedly if you have the flags set.
