Death-Cam Sneak Kill Weapon Hand

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 3:18 am

I'm wondering, does the cut throat death-cam with a dagger only trigger if the weapon is held in the right hand; and if not, would holding a weapon in the other hand cancel out the animation, or? I've only ever performed the animation with a single dagger in the right hand, but I'm thinking about creating a dual weilding character and I'd just rather be sure.

as long as you use the right hand for the kill you will get the cam (i think, iv never gotten it using my left dagger at least)

Ah. I'd just rather hold a dagger in the left hand, and a sword in the right hand, because I feel as though a right-handed individual would do so. But if the death-cam's only activated if the dagger's in the right hand, then I guess I'd better just go ahead and hold it in the right hand. I just don't want to switch weapons between hands every moment I need to execute someone from behind.

I do suppose it'd still do the necessary damage, but the death-cam's always a nice touch.

I thik you can slit throats with a sword too? I thought I saw a video of it, I may be wrong though.

edit: after googling it seems that alot of people say the throat slit animation will trigger with a sword, I havent tested this but it seems more thann likely that it's true.

You can slit throats with a sword, but you can't do it silently.

I just noticed the marketed Dovahkiin (background) is actually holding a dagger in the right hand and a sword in the left. I'm guessing due to this, and everyone's input, dagger in the right hand is the best route to go. Thanks everyone.
