adjusting stationary objects when building a room issue

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 6:30 am

okay so I've been diligently working on getting something made in the creation kit and I've cycled through the available items to build the room.

Style of room basing off my build: Farmhouse interior.

using FarmBCorner3 I try to build off it and each wall(FarmBWal01-04), but none seem to paring up correctly...but I can't prove that because when ever i try moving the wall over without any snapping attached, it auto overlays and I get this

I keep re-positioning and swap out but nothing seems to fit. The same issue seems to happens when I try to connect two walls together. I know I'm probably doing something wrong here that's right out there obvious...but no doubt I'm stumped.

#1. You didn't specifically say that you had snapping turned on. If not, please do.

#2. What is your "Snap to Grid" value?

I stated I had no snapping on and snapping value is default.

You definitely should turn snapping on. Let me know what results you get.

Edit: Also, it is good to note that each corner should line up with two different wall pieces. Ie. Corner 1 lines up with Wall1 on one side and Wall2 on the other, Corner 2 lines up with wall2 on one side and wall 3 on the other... etc.

yeah with the snapping adjusted to 16 grid snap, it made lining up straight and now I can properly judge the edges. So I guess if anything goes wrong I'll be sure to update the thread.

now the question is do I set the file i'm working to Active when saving?

You need to set it to active before saving. It's best to set your mod file to active when you first load it.
