Why has Bethesda not released a patch to fix the bugs in the quest A Cornered Rat? It's become impossible for me to continue the main quest now becasue the door won't open and Esbern has no voice. I know there are some fixes for this, but all of them seem to involve downloading a .rar file, and I don't have a program which can do that.

I'm mostly writing this to blow off steam and to beg Beth to do something. If anyone knows of an easy fix, pleas let me know.

Quest related bug fixes will start comming out in patches this month

beth has stated in several timesin both November and december.

well beth has been on vacation for 2 weeks because of that whole Christmas and new years thing they are releasing patches pretty fast this time though, they are coming up on 1.4 so it will probably be fixed soon, in the mean time you could just do some of the millions of side quests

And as explained. Last month/year, Bethesda stated that they were concentrating on alleviating performance issues and stability. Once that's sorted out, the Data patches (ie: bug fixes) would be rolling out.
