is there a way to reset the counter that keeps track of the carry capacity of a follower?

ie if you ask Lydia to carry way over her capacity , asking her to pickup items instead of transferring, and then you dismiss her so she goes away for awhile, and when you ask her to join you again the counter messes up.

She will no longer be able to carry much if you dismiss her several times in a game

I guess if you never over burden her it would be a work around, or if you remove all her items before you dismiss her.

guess on PC version there might be a reset code.
