Water and Mining issues

Maybe it's just me but the current update [1.5] made some changes to water where you can't be half-clipped through the surface and see through the water clear as day. Now it maintains it's murky quality. In an interior I'm working on, all vanilla water works fine however if I make a new water activator using a new water type I get crystal clear water when I dive under. Even if I just dupe an existing water type, the water is always clear below the surface though above the surface it has that visual foggy effect. Question - do I have to use the update.esm for my mod or do I have to wait until an update is released for the CK which [presumably] has the water changes?

Even more weirdness is the appearance of this chroma-type specularity when a second light is added to an interior. Here is a screenshot.

The red spotchy-specularity appears when the second light is added and it shows in-game as well. Setting it to 'doesn't light water' makes no difference. The red spotchyness is there as soon as a second light is added. If removed, and there's only 1 light, the red spotchyness disappears. No amount radii tweaks or fade or whatever makes any difference.

I'm also having trouble mining. I've set up ores before and it's not that hard. Pick a vein, pick a furniture marker for it, link ref the vein to the marker, done. However my actor either only hits the vein once then gets kicked out of the animation or mines the vein continuously without ever getting an ore. I've tweaked the ResourceCount/Total and StrikesBeforeCollection but that doesn't help.

I can't answer specifically to your question other than to say that you should always have update.esm as a master to your plug-in since it has all the patches installed. Could fix your problem. Have you tried it?

Thanks Faitmaker. I wasn't aware of that.

I didn't see that thread but I saw the one about the water late last night and I guess that's exactly my issue. Guess I'll wait until the beta patch is finalized and the Ck get's updated. Thanks for the heads up.
