Multiple Characters (XBOX)

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 10:50 am

So far I have one character on the xbox I have played up to level 48. I am somewhat interested in taking another run at this game from a different angle.

Big question if I create a new character/game instance are they easily distinguishable between characters from the save files? I haven't tried solely for fear of messing up my 1st character.

Not really TBH, although I actually give my characters names that relate to their race, and so are easily recognizable on loading up saves, because I know what the different race names look like :)

1.) Make sure you make a HARD SAVE of your level 48 character. Don't leave it to just "autosaves"
2.) When you play your new character, as you play, and autosaves start occurring, your level 48 save will get bumped to the bottom of the list.
3.) When you save your new character, make sure you select "NEW SAVE"
4.) When juggling between both characters, make sure you take your time when hard loading and saving. Highlight a save file and give it a moment to load up the information. It will tell you the character name, level, and playtime, allowing you to recognize which save file belongs to which character.

If you take your time and pay attention, then save files should be easy to juggle.

I've juggled about 3 different character saves at once. Just pay attention, and it will be incredibly simple.

This is probably the best thing to do. I try a different race and use a new name. The one think I liked about Fable was the fact you got three different slots to save in with out fear of saving over another one.

Just make a butt-load of saves (i.e. the number of saves that will fit in one butt) and hope you don't overwrite your other character. I have hundreds of the damn things. They are not easy to distinguish at all.

Do bother, its fine and easy to do. I have 5 characters on the 360 atm. Its easy to keep them all seperate, as I save it with the camera viewing them. And each one is a different race and class. That means all I have to do is look at the savefile pic and I know which one it is. From there I usually just let the autosave do all the work while im playing till Im done then save the game to that characters savefile.

IF you think your going to have a problem with just the different saves on the same listing, there IS another way. Make yourself another username! I mean for the x=box or play your new char under guest. My Husband and I both played RDR that way. His name, My name. two seperate games. we made our own game out of the bounty hunts.

It may be less confusing for you to play both char's that way.
