Is it possible to create something similar to that of the Shivering Isles?
I havent gotten the game for PC yet but im very excited to.
I did some searching and couldnt find anything on the topic,Im also legally blind with no eye correction, so i might have missed a similar topic if there is one sorry if this is a repeat thread. Thanks in advanced.

It is indeed possible to create something like the Shivering Isles. You'd have to recreate all the plants, textures, and so on yourself, though. Which can take awhile. As long as it isn't an exact copy of that location, as far as I am aware there is no legal issue either.

would i be able to create an entirely new region of outside origin without making new plants and textures? could i just use the stuff the editor gives me? if yes, i have been reading through tons of lore to get an inspirational mind set of what to try and bring to the game that could be very fun. if i can in fact create a new region with everything presented to me in the editor without having to make new things, im ready to start writing a story for an idea.

This is entirely possible. There are already some examples of this if you look at the New Lands category on the Skyrim Nexus.

What you would have to do is create a new http://www.creationkit.com/Creating_a_Custom_Worldspace_with_LOD, but unfortunately, unless you want your Shivering Isles to have suspiciously nordic buildings and pine trees, you will have to at the very least learn how to reskin existing objects. And even then, it wont look quite right if you decide to want to include some of the more uniquely designed Shivering Isle parts. Trust me, I've tried to get away with just simple reskinning to get away with creating custom Morrowind plants, but ended up several times having to create an entirely new mesh to get the object to look anything like the original.

oh its okay ChickenDownUnder..i was using Shivering Isles as an example in asking if it were possible to just make a new area. Thanks a lot guys. Im so glad you can do this. It is time for me to start writing a story. its going to take months to make what i want to make...im thinking of doing everything i can to get outside help to. i want to make the story dramatic. im in the process of getting aspiring voice actors to help me with the dramatization of quest responses to make the feel of the quests important. of course i have to write the story and all that first. im also finding resources and people whod be able to help create new textures for me. ive been trying to cover a lot of bases hahaha. im excited.

Sounds like quite an undertaking. I wish you the best of luck. When you are at the stage where you need voice actors head over to http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/forum/74-voice-actors-project/ and they may be able to help you out.

And don't give up! Work on it even when you don't feel like working on it, or you may never finish it! Big projects like this take a LONG time; don't get impatient!
