Simple retexture, couldnt be simple could it ;) help

Ok, I decided to cut my teeth on something basic and simple. I took a rock mesh, renamed it, put it in the meshes folder under meshes/mesogea.

I want to have a separate directory in the object dropdown list with mesogea/ then subfolders, for ease of modding. ie, mesogea/static/landscape/rocks and mesogea/static/architecture/

or anything where a directory actually shows up. In Oblivion is was done automatically, so if I add a new object for instance bignose.nif I would go to static/rocks open up a rock, change the name, re-save, open it and change the nif, then save it and it would apper as static/mesogea/rocks/bignose

Of course Skyrim couldnt work like that. Or it doesnt seem to.

Step by step what I have done:

1. take rock04.nif
2, open it in nifskope (latest)
3. change textures
4., save it into meshes/mesogea/rocks/ (just to test it out)
5. in CK choose same rock object and duplicate, change model and name, save.
6. Look in CK and select filter mesrock04 , mesrock04 shows up in static and all, it doesnt show in any subcategory and there is no mesogea subcategory.

Help

ps. the rock shows up in game.
