Perk trees bugged for me?

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 9:44 pm

Problem: New perks in a perk tree that I put in to replace exsiting perks = totally nuked tree in-game.

I got my perks work, and my tree "works"... kinda. I go in game and instead of having the stars arranged like they normally are, it's totally blank. Then I go into the tree and I correctly go to the first perk in it, but then the background changes to black, all the lines and positionings of the perks are all messed up, stacked on each other, etc. AKA very visually glitchy/broken

But in the CK, it's all laid out perfectly! Why is this?

That is odd. 15 minutes ago I just deleted an entire tree in the editor and made a new one, and it worked perfectly in game. Though, most of the perks didn't do anything yet, they were all there, connected right, in the right places, and I could select them.

I do know the CK has a lot of bugs with perks though.

I guess I can try re-doing it, and hope it works.

One other odd thing I noticed was the "bars" that indicate mastery levels went from being long to being very short, and for some reason haven't changed back. No idea why.

Solved it, I guess. It's really really buggy.

If the perk tree editor *thinks* you are placing something outside of it's invisible "grid" it'll reset all the little level indicators and pretend your whole tree is outside of those indicator bars. In order for your tree to properly show up, it has to fit within the indicators, otherwsie it "breaks" , resets to the smallest size, and requires you to redo the whole tree from scratch again to fix it.

Such a shame, wish they would have just make it actually WYSIWYG instead of this wierd table system that is very easy to break unless you have flawless placement

and the pattern that you end up with in-game tends to look nothing like the pattern you set down in the editor...
"oh, I'll place this one directly below the ones above it so they make a straight line..."(loads up the game)"how the hell did that turn into a zigzag?!?"

That's really odd, because when I did mine it came out exactly how I wanted first try. Can't wait to experience these issues.
