CTD because of RAM or other technical limitations?

Hey modders!

Some time ago I started a thread called "Do mods have a maximum size?" http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1361827-do-mods-have-a-maximum-size/page__fromsearch__1 because my current mod crashes some(!) savegames for some(!) people. It seems to be very random.

People don't want CTDs so i delved deeper into finding a solution again.

So I began snipping cells until the file worked without CTDs again. Then I tried to figure out which cells were causing the CTDs. The answer was bleak. It didn't matter which cells I snipped as long as I snipped enough cells. This lead me to the assumption that the filesize when loading the savegame does matter after all.

Does anyone know if there are any ways to alter the "behavior" of loading the .esp file?

I tried to use the mod as an .esm already - didn't help.

Cheers
