In my original esp, i had several armors with color variants. so i made each armor record and armor addon record using the same mesh, and different texture sets.
never mind the already well known glitch that you can't use 1st person meshes with texture sets (at least with females) because of skyrim's failure to write a MO5S record at all (despite specifying the 1st person model with texture swap in the CK armor addon record).
anyway, i did it regardless, deleting the 1st person models for the cuirasses (which forces skyrim to use 3rd person models in 1st person). all fine and dandy and working in the game.
after a short time, i get reports of users getting mesh artifacts in 1st person view under certain conditions because of the unnecessary geometry of the 3rd person model getting in the way of the stupid chest-mounted 1st-person camera.
so back i go to the pre-ck caveman version where i have to make physical meshes for every color. whatever, i've done it before, so it's no big deal right?
wrong. in the CK when i go to all my Armor Add-On records and change all the meshes to point to the indivdual meshes (that have all been re-pathed to point to appropriate textures, foregoing any texture set swapping) and adding back in the proper 1st person meshes (also repathed in individual meshes for their appropriate color textures), the weight sliders no longer work.
all of the edited Arma records treat the changed meshes as if they are weighted 100% regardless of your characters weight. this is a glitch in the CK (some bizzarre hidden cached value) because i can do the same thing in Tessnip with no errors.
after wasting several hours and nearly throwing myself off a cliff, i deleted the ARMA record and remade it again, mind you i didn't change any of the arma record's values, just the form ID changed from deleting/remaking. and what do you know, the weight sliders work again.
so now the fun task of erasing and remaking all my arma records, which of course break links to every ***damn armo record that was originally pointing to them (its a LOT, if you consider all of the various enchanted versions and such)
unbelievable. absolutely un-****ing-believable
