Changing the light schemes fir each room

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 8:56 pm

Has anyone els had issues trying to make rooms differnt light levels ?. I am trying to make the entire dungeon "dark" so you really feel oppresive atmosphere. Then once done, I changed a couple rooms to the glowign blue because of water an moss etc in tunnels. Trouble is it seems to make every room same colour.

I went to external emmitance, but it returns an error each time I reload.

So basiclly I want whole dungeon to be very dark so lights an torches have a real effect/must be used, then chane a couple of area's to use a glowing effect coming off water an mist.

Anyone know where I am going wrong please?.

I have edited the whole dungeon to use black something reach light table. But that really isnt dark as such. It has a sort of misty effect but everything is very much visible.

I think you can change just one room using roombounds, or you could just use very faint ambient lighting to light the rooms that you don't want to be pitch black.

Ahh I didnt look at the ambiant light option, thanks mate. Yer trouble seems to be that bringing up rombounds, it still changes rooms around you into the new light scheme.
