So I can initially save the plugin and test it `CoC etc etc. Well after i close up the game completely, make some changes and try to save again it wont allow me to because it says its the master file or its in use. how do i prevent this? i need to know how to properly save new changes to be able to test them without this occurring further. Thanks in advanced to any replies.

Sounds like you ALT-Tabbed out the game.
If you did, the .esp is being used by the game and you can't overwrite it. Quit the game properly and it should save.

[Edit] Just read that you did close the game. Maybe a mod manager or something relating to the game is keeping control of the file. Check Task Manager and close down any other programs associated with Skyrim.

He said he closed out completely. Sounds like your game is hanging and not really closing. Hit Control+Shift+Escape and in your Processes list make sure Skyrim.exe isn't there. If it is, say End Now. That means it isn't closing properly for some reason.

He won't find Skyrim.exe, but he might find TESV.exe

ive checked for the process under the manager and nothing. maybe its just a bug im experiencing, i recently made new stuff and was able to save no problem. it happens about once out of every six saves with moderate-major changes. ive been experiencing quite a few bugs so far..might just use it casually until im inspired again. its okay though.. i just discovered nexust and im having such a blast picking out all the mods i want to use....so many and A LOT of them kick @#$.
