Fix for LOD messed up textures, possibly.

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 5:55 pm

I noticed today after creating LOD with oscape and making a new .lod file for custom textures etc all of my textures were messed up. I went back to the game and created the LOD again for the worldspace and that fixed it. Clearly it is the .lod file that addresses how the game should read the LOD textures.

That's very interesting. Do you still have the previous .LOD files? If so, can you open them in a hex editor and compare the values and show us?

Oooh this in important as I'm having this issue.

So Oscapes lod file is bad? Also where were you having texture issues? For me it's only with mountains on the higest level (Level 8? Whatever the map, and REALLY far away land loads), and a few objects on any level. (Whiterun walls, riften keep, whiterun gatehouse. Solitude towers.)

Where did you remake the LOD file? Because I've remade object and tree LOD in the CK and played without touching Oscape and mine are still messed up.

Just a little explanation is all I need. :D

The CK's LOD mesh generator should generate the settings file for your worldspace, IIRC.
