voicetype question

hi modders,

i have a question for you: how do i make a custom voice type?

i got all the audio files but i dont know how to put them together in a voice type, i would love to know how to make voice types for attacking etc, but also for special sound effects like mounting on a horse.
could anyone explain it to me please?

here is my current situation:
i created a new creature based off a horse, the mesh and texture are working fine but i have difficulties with the sound effects.
currently i have created a voicetype called 1 and a folder called 1 with all the desired folders and files in it (data\sound\voice\1.esp\attack\npc_horse_attack_01)
the weird thing is, the created creature reads off the sound files of the data\sound\fx\npc\horse!
the wierdest thing of all is that it only reads the mounting and the idle sounds.

i have no idea what i am doing wrong, i created the voicetype and set the voicetype to 1 on the actors voicetype setting.

Under... Character? In the object window, there is a section for Voice Type. Click that, then right click and say New. Name it, preferably something simple, choosing whether or not it's a male. (Checkbox) If you had a male named john, you could call it; MaleUniqueJohn. Then place all your audio files in Sound/Voice/MyMod.Esp/MaleUniqueJohn/ and name them the appropriate name for each line, and the they will work ingame. Also make sure they are 16-bit, mono channel wave.

No problem! Though if you're going to mod more extensively, I'd get used to needing answers. I've waited days before finding answers to things before. :P It can be taxing...

how odd, my mod worked yesterday but now i still get the regular sounds again.
i created a voicetype called 1 with a folder called 1 in the voice folder, in the 1 folder are the attack etc folders with their sound files in them but for some reason it just uses the regular sounds, what am i doing wrong?
has it something to do with the dialogue? how do i change the crcreaturedialogue to the desired creature?

to make things worse, the actors only use idle sound effects even though i added more than just idle sound effects.

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking ...

But the voice type for each "Actor" - including creatures - is on the Actor Form, on the Traits tab.

So, if you make a custom voice type, you can set which actors use it (like EncWolf, for example) on their Actor Form.

Is that what you were asking?

all i need to know is a way to give my creature the sound effects.
