Turning crates into containers...

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 10:09 am

I'm wanting to use the crate model in my house mod as a container, and I know it's been done before. I tried earlier today, but it seems like I can't load the .nif file needed to create the container. I wanted to know how other people have been doing this, as it would be quite valuable to know.

(Loot adjustment mods as an example - some make the crates open-able)

Attach a container to the crate and then use a trigger primitive to activate it.

Wouldn't it be easier to create an ordinary container? All I need is some way to open the BSA file, and retrieve the original container mesh, along with perhaps a sound file to attach as well.
