Hey guys, for my mod, I want to place an inn somewhere in the world, but I'm having trouble deciding where exactly I should put it.

I've got a few conditions, as I don't want to affect the vanilla gameworld all that much:
1. Somewhere where dragons aren't going to attack every five minutes.
2. Somewhere that has (relatively) flat ground, as I don't want to mess around with the landscape too much if I can help it.
3. It can be in a town, as long as the other buildings are generic farmhouses (as I already have the interior made and want everything to match).
4. It needs to be on, or near a road.

So, can anybody suggest a good place to start building?

Near Darkwater Crossing? It's fairly flat, lacking an inn anywhere nearby, and I've never been attacked by a dragon there.

I wouldn't put it in a town ... They are already crowded (so it will be a fair bit of work to find a spot) and already have at least 1 inn.

Dragons can attack the PC anywhere, so I wouldn't worry about that - But stay away from Vanilla Quest locations and so forth, then you are as safe as you can be.

Flat ground - Plenty of places have fairly flat ground, but your going to struggle to find somewhere that needs no navmesh work (and all of the hassle/brokeness that comes with it)

On or near a road ... So, I'd look along the Falkreath to Markarth road. Very little building out that way (it's all tombs, dragon-mounds and Forsworn) so you should get quite a lot of customers on the tourist trail
