Talos was a Nord, the only other dovahkiin to exist and was the first Emperor of all of Tamriel.

Trying to become the Emperor on the basis of personal power and quasi-religious prophecy is a TERRIBLE idea, assuming establishing a stable, peaceful reign is your goal. If you wanna live like Ghengis Kahn crossed with Vlad Dracuul, then hey, have at it...

Have you read "Dune"?

I would, if I wanted power. I'm usually ok doing my own thing instead of ruling or being a leader.

I have some thoughts. Always found it wierd in MW that you are a reincarnated God yet people have these mundane convos with u and you sell random junk at stores. This is similar. So i think it's like some sign that these "important" things really weren't all that important to begin with. So my "guy" is just out there doin stuff. Really awesome stuff, but he knows he's just a guy

Maybe our characters don't want to be Emperor/Empress after they defeat Alduin? And the leader of the Empire doesn't have to be an Imperial, in the 3rd Era, there was a Dunmer Empress, and it's well known Tiber wasn't an Imperial.

Tiber Septim was a breton.

Tiber Septim was of Nordic descent. Still doesn't matter, Talos can make an argonian into dragonborn if he wishes it.

the db is just like all the other protagonists, he/she is full of wander lust. Probably can't go four days without wandering into an adventure or tomb raid...thats not the qualities i want in an emperor, probably want someone who will actually stay around to do his/her job

Nords, Cyrodils and Bretons are a confused mish-mash of peoples and its impossible to get a straight answer regarding their origins from lore (or Talos/TIber Septim for that matter). Redguards are the only Human race that has clear-cut origins.
