Question about the civil war, and other things (spoilers)

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 12:08 pm

OK, I got rid of Alduin the first time. I have completed the peace treaty meeting with the help of the greybeards (Gave up Markardt and got Riften, both major towns - hope that was the correct decision, if you favor the imperials), and am ready to call and trap the dragon in Dragonreach.

Question I have, can I still do the civil war questline, and the questline where you join the imperial army?

I manually save the game on average of 100 times per day, so I can go back to before the peace meeting, and complete both of those if necessary.

Also, I'm going with Paarthurnax, so the blades are mad at me now. Since I'm on the PC, at a later time could I force completion of the blades quests to a point where they'll talk to me then, so I can complete some of their quests? If not, no big deal. I'm not impressed with them, all these years lost and no new members inducted, and now they want me to be the errand boy and bring them new NPCs to join them.

Thanks for your help.

You can do the Civil War questline after the main quest finishes apparently, but from everything I've read, it can be really bugged so be careful with that.

CCNA It did not bug out for me and I did the MQ before even starting the CW

Theoretically you could change Delphine and Esbern's aggression down to friendly so they won't attack you, but I don't know if they'll offer you the quests and such since I haven't tried it. Doesn't seem like it'd go very well though.

I screwed the Imperials at the peace talks, still joined them, and prevailed.

The meeting you have during the MQ just effects how many towns you have battles at, or where you have battles at in the Civil War. So, don't sweat your decisions there. Even if one side or the other says you favor the other side, you can still join up with whatever side you want.

As for Paarthie, screw the Blades, they don't offer you much. And, the graybeards will help you find more Shouts, the Blades won't do that. The Blades just buy Dragon Bones. In any event, I left him alive as I would rather have the Greybeards happy with me than two old stick in the muds.

I went to join the stormcloaks after completing the main quest and completely screwed over the imperials in the process with markarth for dawnstar. speaking with Ulfric he didn't even recognize me as dragonborn or having held the peace talks in his favor. he just gave the default "oh yeah you were at helgen we could use you" line... he did mumble something about having control of the reach but i think that was just him talking to his cronies.

still had to do the errand quest to kill the ice wraith and was initiated with no problems. so far so good with the civil war after MQ

Thank you very much, appreciate it.

I trapped the dragon, flew out to the dungeon, and I'm about to take on Alduin again.

Cheers,

Console: setstage MQPaarthurnax 100. Blades are happy, Greybeards are happy. Win/win!

I'm not going to explain, but do yourself a favor and make a save BEFORE your decide to leave, where your going, but after you defeat Alduin. I know I regreted not doing so the 1st time I did the MQ and did it again. It's not about a glitch or anything.

I just finished the Civil War after completeing the MQ, didn't have any problem's. And bought the house in Windhelm. I got a bunch of sarcastic remark's but that's about it.

Hi !

I am sorry but my English is weak. I have a problem in the quest of the batte for Solitude. I can't kill Legate Rikke she is always reborn in the Castle after conversations with Ulfric. Tullius kneels he is wounded and doesn't speak. Ulfric stands in an other corners in the room and do nothing. I kill Rikke but she rises from the floor and fights to me again and again.
