Objects disappear!?

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 4:18 am

Hey guys!
Iam a rookie to the creation kit, but watched most of the tutorials.
I decided to create my own small island in the great lake in the middle of the map ( between falkreath and whiterun)
I wanted to connect my own island to this small island where a fisher has a small camp, its roughly here: cell -3,-14
there are lots of confusing markers like big green dots. first I ignored them and startet building a castle on my painted terrain.
but ingame many objects just are not there.. in the creation kit i can see them all but when I try to test the mod they seem to disappear.

What am I doing wrong?

Iam sorry if this is answered in one of the tutorials or if this is a doublepost.. but i did not find this problem anywhere.

You have to check the Is Full LOD and Don't Havok Settle in the object Reference.

Also it will be good to convert the .esp file to .esm file. This will fix most of the bugs.

okay I think I know why it happens but I dont know what to do.. I think I saved it the wrong way.. I started creating my mod then I saved it "mymod 1 " because I wanted to try if everything works before I go on, i closed the creation kit and opened skyrim.
When I continued modding later I had to save a second time but I could not overwrite the old file because it said the esp is already in use. So I created a new file "mymod 2".. so I have to load both to get all the objects I have added.. but this cant be right?! Is there aa easier way? Because I dont want to create a new file everytime I test my mod..
Sorry maybe this is a silly question but I dont know how to go on..

Just open mymod 1 and mymod 2 with the CK and save as mymod 3 or whatever you want

Anybody out there who knows what iam doing wrong? I have two esp files.. one contains city walls the other one the castle.. now i want to put both together so iam loading Skyrim esm. , mod1(city walls) and mod2 ( castle) in ck and set one of these files ( mod2) as active file.. but when I save now and only load mod2 (which should now contain both files if I got it right) I still just get the castle without city walls..
