I am experimenting with different projectiles, specifically ones that are similar to arrows. The problem I am running into though is the way my projectiles look when they actually hit and stick to a target. When an arrow hits an enemy, it only penetrates partially into the enemy and it's back sticks out from where the arrow struck. All of my projectiles however pass right through the enemy and stick hilariously out the other side as though someone glued the projectile to their back. Anyone know what I need to change to get my projectiles to behave more realistically like an arrow?
I don't see anything in the creation kit that would affect this attribute, and I have tried a few things on the mesh but so far nothing has made any difference. The edits I have made in NifScope on the mesh include:
- changing the translation of the object so that point of my projectile is at the origin
- changing a value called "Penetration" that I see in NifScope
- changing various weights and center of mass variables
