Can I use landscaping in interior cell?

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 9:50 am

Hi all. I'm currently creating an epic cave system and I want to add variety to the cave floor instead of just being flat. Is it possible to use the landscaping tool to do this? If so does anyone know where I can get a tutorial or advice on doing this? Thanks for any help.

not that I'm aware, but there is a landscape category that you can use under statics to 'simulate' some landscaping..

You could do it the opposite way ie. make a small exterior landscape and then build an interior that encloses in on itself.

There are a few drawbacks though. Your cave will get darker as night falls and lighter again in the morning. Weather effects will also be visible inside the cave, so it'll snow and rain indoors. You would have to set the weather to always be sunny.

I think you need to create a new World Space with it's own climate etc. Blackreach is a good example of a "cave" like this.

Not if you use the correct climate data. There are several POI's in the game that are technically "indoor" environments, but are in reality their own world spaces.
