Adjusting north position in world cells

Is it possible to change the magnetic north of an exterior cell? I created a small 4x4 world and forgot to position the objects relative to Tamriel's north.

You could select the whole lot by holding the left mouse button down, while you drag a box that surrounds every item in your interior cell. Remember to turn on markers first. Also, it wont work properly with roombounds/portals. Once everthing is selected, just rotate and everything will rotate on the last object that's selected. Make sure snap to angle is enabled.

[Edit] Just read that's in exterior world you want to change (I'm tired).

Why do you need to align items relative to North ? Exteriors shouldn't matter.

The small world is a "backyard" that is separated from the Tamriel world cell by an interior. When the player enters this backyard, he should be facing south, but ends up facing east due to the positioning.

Not a serious issue, but if there's a simple fix available I would use it.

I understand. Just do As i said. Select all the items that you placed in your wordspace and rotate them to suit.

For interiors you would use a NorthMarker. This may work on an exterior, so give it a go.

North markers can't be placed in the exterior directly unless one is copied and pasted from an interior. Even then they have no effect.

Might have to do what you said, Tamb0. It's what I was trying to avoid since I already made some landscape changes.

is your door in tamriel non-negotiable?

if you can somehow re-locate the tamriel door so that it is rotated to accomodate your worldspace orientation, that would be an easier solution than rotating the entire worldspace (and just rotate your interior northmarker the same)

i made this same mistake on my worldspace. i ended up just changing the door in tamriel (relocated it to a new spot so that the rotation is facing the same wasy as my worldspace)

No, the Tamriel door & front-entrance of the building can't be moved since they sit on top of a cliff and give the illusion that the backyard extends past the Skyrim border.

Going to go ahead and rotate everything and rebuild the landscape. It's small so it isn't too much of a hassle.

Northmarker ?...lol, I wish i knew that such a thing existed when I was working on my last mod. Maybe go back and change it. Never was happy with the roombounds and portals sitting at an obscure angle.
