Vampirism fix

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 3:05 pm

I think we should have they choice of draining the dead of their blood for vampirism. The point is because i have fast traveled into the cities without realizing that i would be turned into a full fledged vampire and then people would attack me. If we were to kill certain NPC's for their blood in a bottle, then we could safely fast travel into a city without being attacked.

Just saying, it was useful in Oblivion to have those things, and it sounds logical that a traveling, vampiric hero would carry one.

Wait for a mod. This will never be officially fixed (Because it's not broken). If you chose a wrong platform - that is, sadly, your problem.

Its not uncommon in Vampire genres that they are required to live off the blood the living only. The answer really is NOT to fast travel into a city if your at stage 3. Go to the nearby stables first. (which can also offer an opportunity to feed on the sleeping stable master).

I don't recall bottled blood in Oblvion.

There were several bottles of human blood in SKingrad, but they did nothing.

Part of being a Vampire is dealing with the bad things that come with it. Weakness to Fire, Sunlight Damage and NPCs attacking on site. In Obl you had to manage your time. The same applies in Skyrim.

I know of this blood that you mention. I never thought to try it as a Vampire in Obl. It is labeled to drain Stamina and Resist Poison. But I see no reason why it wouldn't work to reduce your stages of Vampirism.

Skyrim handles Stage 4 a little different. In lieu of flat out killing you, you just take a whopping negative to stats and they lack regain. This allows one to actually play the entire game as a S4V. I recently retired a char with roughly 250 days passed, 247 days as a Vampire and zero necks bitten.

They have complete poison and disease resistance. They should be able to drink blood from a source that has been dead for a few hours without any problems. Or a least a few minutes after killing the enemy, when the blood would be exactly the same.

What I don't get is why there isn't a kill animation for vampires where you just drain your victim.

They went through all that trouble to get kill animations in the game, and then they completely disregard the potential for vampires.

THAT would be very cool, indeed.
