Seeking creative people for mod work

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 12:50 pm

Hey,
We are scrapy and sideshow, 2 guys who like to mod in there free time. A couple of months ago we teamed up. We have been working on mods since then and already some cool stuff came out of it:

Trinarn, a big dungeon
Spider-control rod, can finally use that awesome weapon all the time:)

check them out at the steam workshop

we are working on a new mod. This time its pretty big and we came to realise that in order to achieve our goals we need help from people: to add in areas like interiors, quests, clutter, voice acting.... if you can do 1 of those, or more, plz leave a comment.

Decide for yourself how much you want to do, but basicallyyou wont need to be on call 24/7 or anything... this will all be very casual/laid back type of work. just do what you want to do and when you want to do it.
even if all you have is good quest or dungeon/house/cave design ideas, then we want you... if all you want to do is voice act one or two lines (or words), we still want you. if all you like to do is add clutter/objects to give spaces some feeling, we want you
if you want to voice act, but dont know how to use the creation kit, we can find ways to work around that.

Leave a comment and we will come back to you!

I'd add a LOT more details to that post, as well as showing some of what you've already done. I'll be frank with you, most people would ignore this as most mods that are just 'come in and add a quest or whatever just add something' never get finished and rapidly become a sloppy mess. Plan out a bit more (Or show more of your plan if you have one), and try to get a good structure going. Then people will be far more interested and you're more likely to get a team going. :)

A guild, placed somewhere in skyrim, where everyone who owns a shop, is a Khajiit trader, whatever, meets. Councils every week and month. The Guild acts like your questhub for the mod. After a couple get/give/guard quests, you are considered a Trader and you can join. You can then (or before you join, not sure yet) buy a shop. You start with having to sell stuff manually to people that walk by, but soon you will hire more and more staff, eventually owning more shops and starting a business. Another feature are the markets: Small weekly markets, a monthly market and a yearmarket. For the last one, people from all Tamriel gather and held a 3day festival. The Guild is in charge of the festival and organises it.
The mods idea was to own a shop, everything else came up to us as 'cool stuf'f'.

@widdlyskudz: yeah we need voice actors, a lot of em:)

@ the rest: atm we are waiting till we have a pretty steady team to work with. A google doc/spreadsheet will be made, there we will plan our things.

Well you're waiting for a good team to start working, but anyone interested would wait for you to start working before they join the team...

Just sayin' if you and your friend get started (And get a lot done) you'll have an easier time getting others to join in.
