Hood updown

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 2:17 pm

Is there a way to put the hood down. I thought I could do it in Oblivion(which is currently loaned to a friend) but can't figure out how to do it in Skyrim. Is it possible?

Usually clothing has two versions, hooded robes, and just robes. The ones without hoods are whole different items

For some reason, the people of Skyrim treat hoods like hats and have them be separate parts of robes and such.

It's useful for giving 'a hood' to a certain outfit or a suit of armor to give a unique look, but there aren't that many hoods to choose from, sadly :[

I do not think so. I believe Oblivion was the same way, so your only option is to take it off or put it on, I'm afraid.

Hope that helps :D

Oblivion had separate hoods and gowns. A couple of robes came with attached hoods though.

I alway liked having a hood with my armor but in Skyrim I can never find a really cool looking hood.

I wish the hoods were part of the armour, and you can choose to have it down or up, but it doesn't really bother me.

It's unfortunate that the best looking robes are a one-piece. I want to enchant a hood and the robes, but the Hooded Black Mages robes are just one item. Hopefully DLC provides more robes like the Greybeards or Psijic as well as making them 2 pieces, but look as they do now.

not only that but there is a lack of enchantable robes and hoods I'm beginning to suspect the first dlc will be for mages because frankly mages are kinda. boring it's spaming the same spell and looking bad in your enchanted robes

It sure would be nice if it was though. Let's head off to the Isle of Artaeum!...and get some fancy new robes.

It's a moot point, http://bit.ly/zLn3JH.

So that doesn't say anything other than "we plan on making them big, etc." They could still have a magical element to them, but I doubt any DLC would be so specific to just one class in Skyrim.

it's just that I kinda felt that the mages guild and mages archetype In general is lackluster and that there was not much to do with the psjic order as the quests led you to believe and they did say that the dlc would be to improve gameplay and mages need a improvement

Yes, it says that it won't be another Frostcrag Spire.

Why argue? I've got mods. Which, more often than not, are made on request, unlike Bethesda's stuff.
