"Snap to" isn't working, even though it's activated

Hey guys,

I'm sorry if I'm being a complete noob, but I'm making a home shack exterior similar to Hunters Rest, and Snap to Grid and Angle were working great for the walls, sides, and frames. All went smooth. But now I'm adding things like wall plaques etc, and they aren't snapping to the shack walls.

I've tried selecting the plaque, pressing ALT+Q and selecting the wall, but it's not doing anything for me.

Any ideas? Probably an easy thing :blush:

They wont, kit pieces snap together, turn snapping off for things like wall plaques etc. it you need more control when moving items, hold down an axis key to constrain move or rotate direction, personally I find the "gizmos" not that sensitive. :)

One more quick question if that's ok, how do you set a barrel/chest/end table to be player owned so it doesn't respawn what's inside? Do you just set it to playerfaction in "owned"?

The reason I ask is because the drawers and barrels in breezehome aren't set to that, but they don't respawn stuff and are safe for storing items.

just find the containers marked "NORESPAWN" or some such, I remember there is definitely an end table.

There are a few that specify player house as well. the other option (if you don't really care about releasing the mod) is to load other houses and copy and paste the containers into your own mod.

Saying that though I'm no scripter so I'm not sure about the faction thing...

Thanks for your input mate. I think I've figured it out after watching half a dozen videos. There are no respawn containers (barrel for ex) but if you set "respawns" to unticked in the EDIT screen for the item, it should be safe to store items. As it's exterior I've set ownership to playerfaction also just to be safe.
