are there any mods/modders resource out there that has bookshelf type storage for ingots, potions, jewelry etc. so that i can dissect it and see how it is done. i love the idea of being able to plop down my ingots into a small area and have them auto stacked. would make a nice addition for my vault to have a nice pile of bullion.

The bookshelves are not your typical storage chest. Its a bit of scripting and object placement. So while bookshelf type storage for ingots or potions are possible, but they would require a bit of work to set up.

That said, i dont recall any such mods.

I know this mod allows for many items, including ingots and potions, to be stored and displayed on bookshelves:
