Quick question, interior cell memory limit (.esp)

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 7:09 pm

Hi there,

I'm having a problem where my .esp CTDs when leaving my custom interior, kindly it was pointed out as a memory issue with the size of interior cells, currently mine is 94MB / 157MB which says its around 60% mem usage.

Is there a magic number below which it works?

Cheers

i think it has more to do with object count rather than esp file size

Ok, fair enough, is this trackable somewhere, and do you know of a kill limit? I don't have CK open at the min, so not sure off hand

Thanks for the help!

yeah i was wondering this also. as to if you can go beyond 157MB.. seems rather small. compared to crysis 2's cryengine 3, which lets you make a map over 1500MB's..

I wish, mine seems to be borked long before then!

I started to get CTDs much earlier, but they were related to not finalising navmesh in the exterior/interiors, this was fixed from both of my interior sections pre clutter, now I can exit to skyrim fine, enter the dungeon from my custom worldspace but not leave it without CTD...

The only thing I can think of doing would be carving up the dungeon into smaller sections, though the thing is, it seems on the face of it no bigger than a large vanilla dungeon like Bleak Falls Barrow.
