Could I get some very quick troubleshooting help?

I don't have any friends who own a PC copy of Skyrim, sorry.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17353

I just need to check to see if a mesh is working properly. It is for me, but I've had three users complain otherwise, so I'd like to get verification from other set-ups.

1. Download and drop in your data folder.
2. Boot up game, open console, insert lines 3 and 4
3. help "spectral hound"
4. player.addspell (whatever ID showed up for SPEL Spectral Hound)
5. Use the spell.

If it worked correctly, you will now be a ghostly dog. Nothing will appear to have changed (aside from the imagespace modifier) from first person, but in third person, you should be able to see the dog's body as normal. Is this the case? If not, what other mods are you running?

This entire thing is dependent on one mesh having a camera added to it, \meshes\actors\canine\character assets dog\skeleton.nif, so I can't figure out the exact problem here. I'm thinking it is a mod conflict, but I don't know what mods would mess with the dog model and -not- add a camera.

Not "very quick," but since nobody else has answered...

Hmm, it depends on what you mean by "see the dog's body as normal." The imagespace modifier makes it something of a bright, roiling dog-sized blob. It doesn't have four distinct legs, for example. But the dog's head can be recognized, notably when it lifts its head to bark.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

The 'bright, roiling dog-sized blob' is intentional. :D Depending on the lighting conditions, it's actually possible to make the dog out in specific.

Well, that tells me that the basic file is fine and there must be a conflict somewhere with a popular mod; the question now is, which mod is screwing with dog meshes?
