I really don't like having cycle-camera-view as pressing y (since I was used to use this for aligning objects in y axis).

Y and C have been swapped. Use the C key to move in the Y axis. This way, the 3 axis keys are together Z, X znd C (Y). Takes a bit of getting used to.
