Lately I've noticed that many people are starting to get way, too, far involved in these posts up to the point of making unfriendly and even insulting remarks about some harmless, decent and civil posts and/or replies and the people who made the post(s).

Let's calm down and keep in mind that Skyrim is just a game and not real life. Just because some one disagees with you doesn't mean they're evil or bad or crazy or spoiled or any thing else like that.

This is simply a forum to discuss different opinions, thoughts and strategies in the game.

This is called the "Skyrim Cheats, Hints and Spoilers" Forum, not the "Skyrim Nasty" Forum.
Let's try to be civil with our posts.

This forum is about as tame as it gets in my opinion, although I am always for people being well mannered. You should check out the diablo 3 and mass effect 3 forums if you want to see some of the internet's best rage at work.

If you see a nasty post, send it in to the mod. They'll likely have a little talk with the person because that's why they are here. We don't need to do that ourselves. Thanks, mods. :tes:

The old BF3 EAUK forums were nicknamed Mordor by the game developers because they were so bad. The devs even stopped posting there. I think these ones are great.

I agree. In fact all of the Skyrim forums are more polite now than they were in November, in my opinion. Moreover, the Skyrim forums in November were more polite than the Morrowind and Oblivion forums right after those games came out. You want nastiness, travel back in time to 2002 and experience the vicious pitbull shredding Morrowind took from Daggerfall fans. Yowzers!

And on top of that, topics like these only serve to invite trolling and don't have any real effect. No one's going to see this and think "Gee, I should really be a much nicer forum-goer". I mean, it's the internet. It's very nature invites anonymous cynical [censored]-baggery.

I'm glad my comment wasn't taken as trolling. I have had a few of my topics closed for being just like this one. People on the internet will be nasty to each other no matter how many "Tisk-Tisk" topics they read. It's a sad truth but it's the truth nonetheless.
