Best Enchantments

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 8:50 pm

What in your opinion are the best enchantments? Here are my spellsword build's enchantments, and I wonder if I can improve them:

Helmet: Magicka, Magicka Regeneration
Necklace: Resist Magic, Health
Ring: Health Regeneration, Stamina Regeneration
Cuirass; Health, Light Armour
Gauntlets: One-Handed, Magicka
Boots: Stamina, Fortify One-Handed

I cannot decide on what enchantments my sword should have.

Absorb Health
Absorb Stamina
Absorb Magicka

That is all.

TRY Frost and Shock! I've always got a sword with them on'em somewhere.

20 perks, and almost all slots- not cheap.

On topic- this thread is nonsense, "best" is entirely dependent on build.

My "best" is actually magic regen rings- odd? A spellsword using runes and invisibility often is better served with regen since i can cut combat. It will totally be dependent on build.

I have a bow with flaming soul trap. Arrow sets foe on fire and when he dies, the soul trap works. Best enchantment I've ever seen.

My enchants are very similar to abacus707's. The main difference is I put Fortify Healing Rate and Fortify Stamina Regen on body pieces.

You might want to consider Soul Trap on at least a 'reserve' weapon.

I used fire enchantments early on in the game. However as I leveled up I became more fond of shock enchantments when dealing damage as shock also does magicka damage. My daedric bow is shock/soul trap and it's a beast. Never fails to fill a soul gem but I do find I need to drop soul gems from time to time to clear the bigger ones of the lesser souls my bow has trapped. I've always put health/health regen on armor pieces. Have fun and try out different combinations.

I use absorb health and stamina on my bow, health because I cant quick cast stuff and stamina to regen the bar for zoom. My blade has absorb health and magica, absorbs magica because I only use it to kill mages when they shock me too much.

I prefer the practical enchantments, and I build for mostly end game - so I have as many quest and perk related passive effects going as I can, and don't waste enchant slots of stuff I can get elsewhere.

Lord's Stone + 3 x Alteration magic resist perks + Agent of Mara = 70% Magic resist with no enchant slots used.

I'm a vampire so I use Fire Resist and Health, Stamina and Magic regen.

For practicality I also have Waterbreathing on my helmet and Muffle (plus Fortify Sneak) on my boots.

If you Smith your gear, you will never need to use a Fortify Light/Heavy Armor enchant.

For my sword and bow I use Fiery Soul Trap + Absorb Health - mostly because I named my sword 'Vampyre' and the enchants go with the name.
