Wierd occurences

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 6:18 pm

this is just about some very wierd occurences you've experienced. My wierdest (ever) and rarest was getting the chance to talk to m'aiq the liar. i only met him once, and ive been playing skyrim since it first came out.

There are many threads like this in the cheats and spoilers forum which really probably is the place for a thread like this. Definitely a good read, I've had many moments that are just odd.

M'aiq is everywhere on your way; you just have to walk from one place to another instead of fast travelling. :)

Don't worry about it. If it causes a problem then a Mod will move it there, but tbh its not causing a huge problem right now.

Besides, some random things people see are unique due to circumstance and/or game glitches, so its not spoiling anything if there is no chance of it happening to others.

In the future a quick search can do wonders, and if you want your topic deleted/lock hit report on the original post and just type what you want. The mods are pretty quick to the scene :D

Yeah but if you see him again to seen he says like one or two new things and then it's all like "I don't feel like talking to you"

each new encounter with M'aiq gets you 3 randon responses you can't just walk a short distance away and back and get him to respond. He has to respawn in a new location. Also, depending on what your character has been doing M'aiq may have a pertinent comment. For example, I would suggest catching as many butterflies as you can and then talk to M'aiq he may have something pertinent to say about your endeavors!

hmmm well I usually get 3 and then the repeated "M'aiq is tired now go bother somebody else" which I wasn't counting, but then counting may be done differently in Nirn

I was down in the Ragged Flagon trying to fence some stuff and get the stolen tag cleared, decided I would check out the shops down there to see if they had anything interesting I could buy. Finally I had had enough of one of them not wanting to sell me what they had on display, at least 20 odd levels I have waited to be sold some armour on the bench. I stole it, next thing a message comes up and I think that is it, I am thrown out and no longer Guild Master. No the message that comes up tells me I had completed a Riften Bedlam Job, could have sworn it was a Fishing Job I had in the journal I was ignoring. I go talk to Delvin to see what is going on. Well it seems the game got a bit over enthusiastic, I got a reward for the Bedlam Job, and the options to say each of the special jobs for each city had been completed, never again am I talking to Delvin after going through all that. It was not so bad when you did each as you did them, but all together was just too much. It was worse than trying to buy a house fully furnished.

lol... before I could stop myself I stole the cheese wheel off Delvin's table, everybody yelled different things at once to the effect of "well I guess it's yours now," and "you could've just asked," etc. Crazy place!

I checked yesterday: I get four different answers before he says that he's tired of talking. :)

I'm in Riften, getting chased by a guard for swiping some trinkets from a stall, after a fun chase I stop to bribe him to clear the bounty, as I'm handing over the gold I hit stage 4 vampirisim.
As soon as the dialogue box closes the guard, several of his friends and some dark elf start chasing me.

I make a swift line to the cistern crypt entrance closing the slab behind me thinking they won't be able to follow...

I get into the guild and am like "phew!" thinking I made it and suddenly about 10 guards burst in behind me, the entire population of the cistern and Flagon jump up and draw their swords and an all out battle ensues, me and the guild Vs the Riften City Guard.
It was like being in some medieval Keystone Cops movie.

Wheeled carrying things trying to kill me. It has been a bit odd to me since I got the game.
