Keybind weapons to left hand?

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 5:33 pm

Okay, so is there anyway around the weird quirk where you can't easily change from dual spells to dual weapons?

For example, I tap 3 twice to dual equip firebolt. But dual tapping 1/2 does not dual equip two weapons that I have, nor can I hotkey a weapon to the left hand (that I'm aware).

Is there a workaround for this? A mod, maybe?

I actually just noticed something. If you have two of the exact same weapon, you can hotkey them similar to spells (double tap hotkey to dual wield). However, if you smith the two weapons, this same process keeps unbinding the hotkey.

For example: I hotkeyed two steel daggers (fine) to the [1] key, and Firebolt to the [2] key. If I have both daggers equipped, but switch to Firebolt by pressing [2], the two daggers are unbound from the [1] key. I have to go into Favorites and rebind the daggers to [1].

If I do the same thing with unimproved weapons, it works as planned.

No good solutions or mods for this yet?

You can... you have to double-tap the hot key. It works, people just don't know about it.

That does work, but there is a bug that unbinds smithed/improved weapons after switching to something else, even if they are otherwise identical weapons (as I described in my example)

Also, there is no way to do it for different weapons.
