Purple?

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 9:09 pm

Well, I was playing through Skyrim with a new character. And at level 21 certain objects came up purple. Mostly doors, armor, and plants. Is there any way to fix this?

This is because the textures didn't link to the object in question. Try asking a mod to move this to the http://www.gamesas.com/forum/179-skyrim-hardware-and-software-issues-subforums/ You'll get better answers over there.

Happened with me too, but it just went back to normal one day.

I've heard of this before try googling it for a fix.
Might be some conflicting texture mods or something.

Ouch.

Hmm, maybe try loading an earlier save if you have one and seeing if the problem persists?

If you were on PC then I could give you a download for the textures you're missing, but I don't how you would fix it on console.

Yeah, I reloaded but it still was purple. The disk has a scratch about a half an inch long and about as thick as a line drawn with sharpie pen. Could that be it?

 My God what did you do to the poor thing!

I would guess that would be problem haha. Big scratches tend to do things like that.

as to your problem prolly the scratch, that's why i alphabetize my games, leave them on their shelves, and always wash my hands before touching a disk :)
