All the faction armour is crap anyway. You're better off with leather or steel.

I think it is a shame. Though I mostly join the Empire I would like to see some heavy Stormcloak armor.

i'm sure there's some vague reason, but, it makes no sense not to have some kind of heavy armor version for the stormcloaks.

There's no lore reason why Stormcloaks wouldn't have heavy armor. The Nords are some of the best smiths in Tamriel. Even bandits are wearing iron armor and bandit chiefs steel plate.

They don't have the funding for nice armor. Maybe at a later time

You guys words like "rebels" and such, the Stormcloaks Occupy certain holds and have support of a good portioin of the Jarls still true to Skyrim *tear falls down cheeck* They have plenty of resources and I was too saddened to find no heavy Stormcloak armor (or even ANY heavy faction armor, there are NONE, no Blades don't count, that armor isn't even enchanted. I really think the Warrior builds got screwed when it came to factions). Nords are generally...well.....berserkers, wearing heavy armor should be second nature, too bad most of them are depicted in furs like ragged hermits.

It would have been nice if Galmar gave you a choice of light or heavy.

Also, while I'm whining, I really wish the female officer armor was more like the male rather than the fur bikini. *yuck*
