So I started an Altmer charachter withthe backstory of he is a vampire who came to Skyrim to escape being hunted in his homeland. So I will live in caves and only come out at night staying s4 as long as possible. So I get out of Helgen and immediatley go down to a cave, i forget the name, nearby and contract vampirism, for rp purposes. I go to Riverwood to sell my collected gear and then do Bleak Falls and the Whiterun part of the MQ to open the dragons. I become the Thane of Whitrun but the MQ stops there for me. I go back to Riverwood to sell my gear again since I only use Magic and daggers and a staff and when I am in thr Riverwood Trader, Feandel attacks me out of the blue. I have had no dealings with him up to this point nor have I gone to his house. I end up killing him and Camilla, Friendly Fire, in the process and Lucan still is willing to buy my loot. Weird. That is not the weird part. So I roam around a bit and then come back to Riverwood days later and loot Feandel's house, since I have his key. I again sell my loot. I come out of the Trader and am approached by 3 thugs. I know what this is about so i quickly shock and burn them up. I find the contract on one of the thugs body and it appears that Feandel hired them to teach my theiving self a lesson.

Here is my question, I never stole from him when he was alive and never talked to him either. He attacked me, from wht I thought was because I was a vampire, so how does a dead elf sign and hire a bunch of thugs to kill me if he is in fact dead? BTW his body is still on the Riverwood Tradfer floor. C'mon Bethesda can we clean up dead bodies for us rp'er's?

Faendal attacked me for no apparent reason either... I'd never even spoke to the guy on that playthrough... You should have seen the beatdown that J'zargo, Shadowmere and my two thralls gave him xD

LOL, that was late in the game though. I was only a few hours in on mine. And he claims I am a thief? I stole form him only after he was charred to a crisp.

You get some strange things happening in this game lol, I've had dead people hire thugs to "Teach me a lesson" aswell, hell even KIDS are doing it to me!

Now I may resurrect him just to kill him agina and leave him on his doorstep.

Practically everyone will send thugs after you. Hell, I've had a Forsworn Briarheart send thugs after me because I pickpocketed his heart out of his chest. Explain that why don't you!?

The dead must speak in Skyrim.
