just about a week or so ago I discovered I can't see anything underwater, I had downloaded a MOD to take away the "breathlessness" if your an Argonian or using a charm or potion to breath underwater , I took that MOD out but it still doesn't work all I get is black screen does anyone know how to fix this ? I am playing on PC using Windows ME thanks

Mmm I had the problem as well when I was using an esb mod. But from the sound of it, it dosent sound like when u disabled the mod or took it out that u got all the files out. I would double check. A good way of doing it is to manually download it extract it to a folder and and make sure non of tje files are in ur skyrim folder.

If it was a mod from steam, ive heard that because the way things are set up u could ruin ir game with those mods if u dont know how to look for the files. Ive heard of quite a few mods corrupting games and saves from steam because the mods might not be updated and so forth.

The new patch makes underwater more blurry and harder to see anything not right in front of you...is that what you're experiencing?

Are you using one of the "ENB" style visual-enhancement mods? Because those don't react well with the new water system. Makes the screen a uniform opaque greenish.

I do not know how to load the green water fix from the Nexus I looked for it in the Steam Workshop but I can not find it. There are other MOD's that promise the same fix but I have tried 3 of them with no success, I guess I will have to wait to see if the next patch will fix it. Untill then if I remain at the surface and look down I can see everything but as soon as I dive down it all goes black. Thank all of you for your reply to my question.
