House Decorating Questions

I've more-or-less finished the game with my current - and likely final - character. I've never fully decorated one of my homes before, although I've made feeble attempts at it in the past. I have a few questions.

Is there anyway to get rid of the ugly forks and knives? The ones that you can't pick up? My house in Riften, which is my preferred house, had two of these things. One of which was on the main table and one of which was on the right nightstand near my bed. The one on the nightstand vanished on its own, and throughout 60+ hours, it never returned. However, when I finally decorated that nightstand by putting two books on it, I left and returned later only to find one of those knives sitting on top of my book. Why did it only return after I put something there? Doesn't make sense. As for the one on the table, I shouted at it and it fell through the floor, but before I even began to decorate the table, it re-spawned on top of it. There is no way that I was gone the 30 days it takes for areas to re-spawn, so I don't get it.

Also, I wanted to have my walled weapon rack downstairs contain two daedric swords and two blades swords, and the mannequins would be wearing daedric armor and blades armor. However, the blades sword that I got early in the game sticks to the wall just fine, but the blades sword I retrieved later on keeps falling to the ground. Why does one behave differently than the other? I tried moving them around on the slots but it doesn't make any difference.

I also have no idea about decorating I play PS3 :/ I know. I have breezehome and my weapon rack and wall mounts can not be interacted with at all but bookshelves are fine. Also anything I leave on desks, tables or shelves end up littering my floor or vanishing completely whenever I enter/re-enter my house. This upsets me as I have lots of weapons and collectibles i want to use :( I loved decorating my home in oblivion, maybe its a bug IDK?

Until some Decorator Assistand mod is out there, and you can lock in place stuff permanently, I won't even bother on decorating my house. I'll just use the default stuff included, or I'll create a custom house in the CK with almost all the content being Statics.

There are some things that stay put and some that don't. Centurion Dynamo Cores make for great decorations and always seem to stay where I put them. Same with the gyros. Dragonpriest masks also tend to stay where you leave them. I've also put weapons on top of chests for decorations, like the chest at the foot of the bed in Honeyside and those stay put after a time or two of replacing them. Skulls (human and troll) tend to stay put.

I've heard that if you put something somewhere, leave the cell, and then return, and put it back where it was, that it will then stay there. But I don't know that to be fact.

Also, it seems that some things will stay put in certain places but not others. For example, Pelagius' Hip Bone won't remain on a alchemy table but it will remain on the shelf of a dresser for some reason. It all appears rather random sometimes.

And FWIW, it seems like Vindrel Hall in Markarth is the easiest to decorate. For some reason it lends itself to that.
