If you had a choice would you choose Falmer or Goblins?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 4:28 am

So Falmer are pretty much the Goblins of Skyrim in terms of their role in the world. They both are intelligent creatures who dwell in caves and dungeons. So which would you have chosen if you had control over it? I personally would choose the falmer because they are scarier and their backstory is very good. How about you guys?

I'd choose the Falmer. I think their lore is better and I pity them for it, plus they're more original and make less annoying noises than Goblins. xD

Falmer. They just seem......stronger, than the goblins.......or I just didn't fight goblins enough in Oblivion.

Falmer for sure. More interesting story, and more potential in future stories.

goblins..they're funny little angry guys and that small goblin war quest from OB was classic :)

also i dont like how blind falmer seem to see me and their archers are dead accurate from across a room. i understand heightened senses but blind archers hitting a crouched non moving target is ridiculous

Goblins, this means we fight more thalmor instead of the falmer.

Falmer, because they like to hang out in dark dungeons and sneak up on me with their poisoned weapons. They also have an interesting backstory, while goblins were just more enemies to kill.

Falmer because they look more badass, are scarier, more powerful and due to there history are much more suitable and interesting enemies than goblins would've been, plus I fought to much goblins in oblivion.

Falmer - cooler backstory and they seem right out of some of recent horror type movies like The Descent and others.

Both! But, if you're making me choose, I'll have to go with Falmer. There is some interesting lore tied to them and they are some of the toughest bastards in the game. I could rip through goblins like paper mache, though I do miss them intensely. I hated how they eventually disappeared entirely and were replaced by an army of Minotaurs though (one of my pet peeves with Oblivion). I'm glad that, in Skyrim, if I want to fight Falmer at any time, I know exactly where to find them and they'll always be there.

Considering how goblins can organize into armies. I might go with them

I remember an article talking about them and some other races, like ogres fighting against the Redguards during their occupation

But then again, Falmer are great

I think the Falmer have a interesting story line They were persecuted by the Nords and then betrayed by the Dwemer. They kind of remind me of those creaturres from the movie "The Descent"
