Who has ordered your death? Why, and who did they send to commit the act?

It seems these so called assassins are never a match for the dragonborn, but what do you do when you find out who ordered your death?

I laugh at their futile attempts and carry on with my business.

You guys know about a minor bug about looting one of them? The first time you loot them you can't take both weapons, you must first take the 1 shown, exit and then loot it again. Strange...

The worse thing in my opinion is that if you go to join the Brotherhood, they never acknowledge the fact that there is a contract out on you. Unless, it just goes away once they want you to join in which case a witty remark by Astrid refferencing it would have been nice.

One of the kids from river wood actually sent mercs after me. That was confusing. Looked around for hours trying to find an advlt with that name, gave up. Along comes a kid, "WANT TO PLAY TAG?" Glanced over and needless to say, my arch rival is apparently an 8 year old.

Well, supposedly it is people you have wronged in some way that wants you dead. I've pickpocketed bandits before I have killed them and still had hired thugs come after me. So maybe it is the same with the assassins, the bandits you've killed that send them after you even though they couldn't have told anyone since they are dead.

we never know who sends the dark brotherhood assassin after you which bothers me a little but i always go after the people who send mercs after me as theres a note saying who sent them on one of the bodies. Last time it was alvor, i felt a little betrayed as i helped him at his forge and saved his wife from a dragon attack yet thats how he repays me? All because i stole an iron ingot from him, i think i've earned it
