Sheathing weapons

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 11:36 am

Now, this has been digging at me for a little while: the issues with sheathing some weapons in Skyrim.

Most of the weapons, are absolutely fine, but the issue is with dual wielding weapons and staves; the weapon in you left hand just appears and disappears, as do the staves. The issue with staves is pretty well known, and annoys most fans, as far as I can tell, but does the dual wielding thing annoy anyone else? I think that when you dual wield weapons, they should both be placed on your back, either crossed over or parallel, and you unsheath both weapons from you back, as opposed to the weapon in your left hand simply appearing.

A minor thing, I know... but is anyone thinking this?

I agree, I just don't understand why not making 2 sheaths. Also why the hell shouldn't we be able to parry with 2 swords? Couldn't we just like "cross" them Like Riften's flag? I'm sure it would work just fine.

They rushed the game, its wasnt that important to them, now they will never fix it.

Blocking with dual weapons would be great, and I agree that you should just be able to cross them over, but I think the problem would be... which button would you use?

You could press both attack buttons at the same time, thought that would frustrating if not done right. :/

Pressing both attack buttons already initiates a dual flurry, though, doesn't it?

Yeah, but by keep pressing, not just quick press.

I wouldn't be so quick to lose faith, we have mounted combat back, so they might add this as a minor thing in an update.

It was a good idea, just Bethesda already used it for another action.
