i'm such a scary cat

no i'm not a khajiit but i find myself in adept mode to be running away from every fight i find myself in
well...not every fight for instances fighting the akivir was tough but i still managed ( i was only level 14 or 15 )
but i tried to fight frost trolls in labyrinth and NOPE not enough
i tried to fight hagraven at orphan rock to retrieve the nettlebane and nope too strong..
i cant find myself to actually get a significant win in adept mode
can u manage it at like low levels such as I?
im on level 17 now not very impressive i know..but would u be able to get any decent victory against these monsters? i didnt had any healing potion..wasted them all in my fights..even though i use healing spells as much as possible. Sometimes it is just impossible to get urself a break to actually use a healing spell...
Meanwhile here is my funny story..i went to treva's watch which is a bandit fort located between irvasted and riften, the only reason i did it was because I had to talk to stalleo to obtain a detect lie spell for my alteration increase.
basically what i had to do was go inside the fort through the cave nearby and make my way to the outside of the fort yard, to pull down a lever as a result that opens the fort gate to allow stalleo and his buddies to regain their fort from the bandits..but inside the fort there are 2 bandit chiefs and alot of other ridiculously strong mages and two handed berserker warrior orcs..it was a experience i never had before in skyrim, all i did was to run as fast as i could to find the exit of the fort, i ran like a little baby.
how would u fare against foes of that caliber in level 15 or 20 in adept mode?

Hit and run tactics. I Use arrows to weaken a powerful enemy from a distance and to take out groups of weaker enemies. Then I rush in with my 2 handed weapon (warhammer) and kill them. If I have to I pull back and launch arrows while healing then wade back into the melee.

that's the method i use but
1: my archery aiming svcks
2: on level 20 with adept mode on i take one shot of a two handed greatsword from a bandit chief and i lose 75% of my total health so is it worth it? nope.

Everyone has has a playing style and preference that works for them.

You will have to find yours. You are approaching the levels where the game can be the toughest. You can, you know, drink potions even in the middle of a fight..... I can't tell you how many battles would have been lost if not far that.

Learn to block. You will still take damage but not as much.

The only enemies I have retreated from (but went back to kill at a higher level) was a Deathlord in a certain pain in the ass dungeon that had a Ebony bow and he would one shot kill me EVERY TIME at level 20 on Master, and a Dragon Priest backed up by a Dragon...haven't been back to that moutaintop yet.

I am at level 50 playing on master using scale armor and a warhammer and bow...no magic and very limited types of potions.

Hmm... I killed a dragon priest at level 14 I think. I just got him in a place where he couldn't hit me then just spanned arrows. I turned it to novice though since it was taking too long.

I tend to sneak and use archery a lot in lower levels. The illusion spell fury on groups and in time of need I will also use atronachs as distraction.

If it comes to it I will also use invisibility potions to hide and then start again with a series of sneak attacks.

I don't know the price but I'm sure a house in Solitude is going to be VERY expensive. Breezehome not good enough for you? :-D

There are a lot of tough enemies. Especially when you're a horrible player (like me). But there are also a lit of areas and quests to keep training, what about the civil war, side quests and quests you get asking for work at inns and the like? I wouldn't care too much about the numbers that are trying to tell you anything about your characters skills and level. Just find some easy tasks to do, survive random encounters, fight dragons with the help of a friendy giant (or two) and have fun. And don't hoard your money! Get some good equipment, especially stuff that helps you to get out alive in case something goes wrong (like an in ivisibility potion). And hire somebody to help you if it's still to tough. Stop being a milkdrinker. Stand up and defeat your local bandit chief. Now.

I didn't break the game and I take no damage at all on Master difficulty, around the level 50 vicinity.

This happens on most, if not all, my saves

It didn't on that one toon I made, wood elf archer, she also has about 200 health at level 60. I die in one hit. Thankfully, I have a lot of invisibility potions and very high sneak skill.

I have gone back there, the priest had dissapeared -i have a feeling he is slowly following my trail, although i went there about 40 levels ago- and the Shout you learn is pointless anyway.

On topic, i find the most powerful class on any difficulty is mostly based around... One Handed, Block, Heavy Armor and Smithing... with them you do huge damage and take practically nothing.. infact with the perk that resists elements and SpellBreaker even legendary dragons and there big flame breaths cant touch you.. and if you're worried they might, give them a quick bash and they stop.. in fact with high stamina you can pretty much just shield bash whenever anyone tries to attack you.. and if its a LONG fight, well just hope you're a Redguard.

I kill people by shield bashing them to death for funsies. I also have enchanted gear up to the point where I resist 80% magic damage taken.

ok i am picking one handed on the first perk, heavy armor, archery aswell. I also have a somewhat decent alchemy, im working on enchantment and..restoration is also good i'm at apprenctice so far but im aiming to reach adept restoration at least..
i havent been working yet on all other mage skills i mean i have but no applying perks to them, i train my magic but not to invest on it, i just do it for overall leveling up progress..
most of my perks go for alchemy, enchantment, one handed and smithing too.

Edit: I cant believe i just died twice in a row from a single leather armed orc in the castle where u get the skull of corruption staff from the dawnstar nightmare storyline..how bad was this? one shot ko..and im probably level 21 now..
