pre-creation save as new game

If you use a save that takes place before creating a character instead of the new game option, will that count as a new game?

I didn't think you could save before character creation.

The game automatically creates a save right before your creating your character, it's more than likely for the purpose of skipping the opening sequence.

Ah. Well, that's a very, very good thing then. I can imagine people not wanting to replay that scene a zillion times.

Isn't that an autosave which gets overwritten as soon as you get several new autosaves?

Anyway, I did save before the character creation and I probably haven't click on a new game more than 3 times overall. I was never a fan of too long intro sequences cause they become a horrible pita after several new playthroughs, and this one would be kinda stupid if we could "skip" it.

You do still have to watch poor... MAJOR SPOILER
Spoiler
...Lokir of Rorikstead die

Other than that it saves right before character creation. Its not an "autosave" though it does "autosave" Its a regular save.

No, it's a numbered save.

Yeah you can can but beware I tried making a new character with that save to today and guess what? Alduin decided to take a job up as a troll and didn't want to land on the tower forcing the executioner to just stand there rather stupidly.
